State of Quarries is the second in the Junior Geography Detective Squad, 50-state, mystery, trivia series which takes kids on a mini adventure to one of the fifty states by way of clues. The clues are facts and trivia about the state and readers are encouraged to guess the state along with the characters. Each book in the series will highlight a specific state, but the state will not be revealed until the end of the story. There are accompanying study guides for each title in the series.
The series is geared toward kids ages 8 to 12, with a focus on those studying US History.
